Green Hill Arts, part of Moretonhampstead Development Trust, is Dartmoor’s leading dedicated Art Gallery and Shop. Currently due to COVID-19 Green Hill is open from 10AM to 4PM Thursday to Saturday. If you are making a trip it is advisable to call first on 01647 440775  – sometimes the gallery will close between exhibitions.

Based in Moretonhampstead and one of Devon’s most prominent Art Galleries, Green Hill is attracting the attention of some of the most respected South West Artists. Names such as Peter Randall-Page, Susan Derges, and Peter Stiles have become synonymous with Green Hill over the last four years  having exhibited in the Gallery’s large attractive contemporary space, and supported the Gallery’s developing programme.

The Art Shop offers space for artists to exhibit and sell their work from paintings, prints and ceramics through to textiles, wood and ironwork.

If you would like help researching the history of local people and places, please look at the wealth of archive materials at Green Hill listed at www.moretonarchives.org.uk and some are also reproduced at www.moretonhampstead.org.uk. Use the contact tab on either website if you have any inquiries or would like to consult the archives in person.

Please let us know also if you have any documents, photos or artefacts of local people and places that we could archive or make a copy for the archives.
